Hayato station (早戸) is located in the town of Mishima.
The station was built on the Tadami River.
Standing on the platform, you will see nice natural scenery there.
A hot spring facility called “ Tsuruno-yu” is near the station; it takes about 15 minutes on foot from the station to there.
It also was built on the Tadami River and is an attractive Japanese style building.
They say Tsuruno-ya has 100% free-flowing hot springs and they have wonderful open-air baths that have a great view of the Tadami line from both the men’s bath and the women’s bath, though they aren't large.
You can enjoy the scenery of every season there while taking the baths.
If you don’t mind cold, I recommend you to take them in the season of winter when the snowfalls.
Perhaps river fog occurs frequently in the season, so you may see fantastic scenery from the bath.
They’re the open-air baths that I can recommend the most in Oku-Aizu area.

In addition, there is a boat dock under Tsuruno-yu and a sightseeing boat service is provided there.
The boat is rowed with one oar at the stern, which is an old-style, by a single boatman wearing a braided hat.
In the old days, ferry-boats had been operated there as a means of transportation to the opposite shore.
The boat service is provided in the style of the time.
The boatman will take a cruise around the area slowly, which takes about an hour.
If river fog occurs when you are in the boat, you will be able to experience a fantastic atmosphere.
(The boat service is operated from late April to mid-November and reservation is required.)
By the way, the place was used as one of the locations for a film, which is the story of a boatman in Japan.
They say this film is going to be screened at the Venice film festival this year (2019).
I will introduce you the trailer of the film (Japanese).
I hear the film shows "real humane life".
I would like you to watch it if the film is released in your country someday.
